[PyGreSQL] PyGreSQL 2.4 and postgresql 6.3

I have installed PyGreSQL 2.4 on a debian box with postgresql 6.3 and 
get the value error: 'no such attribute or function "indisprimary"' 
whenever I try to make a connection to a database.  A similar setup 
on a machine with postgresql 6.5 works fine.  Could anyone direct me 
to how (if?) I could make PyGreSQL happy to work with this version of 
postgres?
