>Why? Potato comes with Postgres and PyGreSQL...

Because I am not yet using Potato. The machine in question is in
fairly continuous use and is remote from my site. I probably won't be
in a hurry to switch versions even once Potato is officially released
as I don't want to risk downtime on something that is serving its
purpose well. If it ain't broke and all that.

My question about PyGreSQL however was moot and just demonstrated my
ignorance of PyGreSQL and my fledgling status with Python. I was
confused about the functions of the pg and _pg modules and finally
realized I did not need the pg module at all. The C based module
works fine with 6.3.

My apologies for the silly question.
